REDRUTH INVITATION DARTS LEAGUE 2010
RULES - ALL DIVISIONS
Key to variations - RED Premier Division only, BLUE Division One only, GREEN Division Two only
ALL LEAGUE MATCHES ARE TO BE PLAYED ON FRIDAY NIGHTS.
ALL VENUES ARE TO HAVE A RAISED OCHE - WHICH MUST BE ACCEPTABLE TO THE LEAGUE (A STRIP OF METAL ETC OR THE EDGE OF A DART MAT WILL NOT BE CLASSED AS A RAISED OCHE).
1. All playing distances to be as the British Darts Organisation.

2. All match boards, and lighting of match boards are to be of a standard acceptable to the league.
3a. All scores are to be marked on chalk or similar marker boards, the home side providing the marker, and the away side the caller.
3b. Electronic score boards may be used for the match providing the visiting team are agreeable. However, should an electronic scoreboard default for any reason while being used the "leg" will automatically go to the away team, regardless of the state of play. I.E. The "leg" will not be restarted, this also relates to scoreboards with a recall facility. Similarly mistakes made on the chalk board may only be rectified within two scores being recorded on the side of the error - otherwise the mistake will remain and the player must "play the score on the board".
3c. All marking boards must be either facing, or adjacent to the player at all times, I.E. no marking boards which are behind the oche will be permitted to be used for any league matches.
3d. It is accepted that all throwing distances are from the back of the oche, consequently any infringement of this I.E. players standing "over the oche" may be liable to a call of no throw. However only the checker or team captains are eligible to call this. For the first infringement there must be a warning given, any subsequent standing over the oche will result in a "no score". This applies to every dart thrown.
4. PLAYING FORMAT PREMIER:- Games 1/2 3-a-side, one leg of 801, Games 3,4 & 5, doubles, best of 3 legs 601, Games 6/11, singles, best of 5 legs 501. All games flying start. Away team to throw first in 3’s, first and third legs of doubles, and first, third and fifth legs of singles. Names must be drawn for singles order of play however, reserves may be substituted for trebles and doubles. Draw to be made by 8.00pm, start by 8.I5pm. 4 players must be in attendance, failure to start on time the team will forfeit the first 3’s, and the second 3’s by 8.30pm. If match not started by 8.45pm the opponents will be awarded an 11-0 win. Failure to fulfil two fixtures in a season will result in expulsion from the league.
4. PLAYING FORMAT DIVISION ONE:- Games 1/2 3-a-side, one leg of 801, Games 3,4 & 5, doubles, best of 3 legs 601, Games 6/11, singles, best of 3 legs 501. All games flying start. Away team to throw first in 3’s, doubles, and first and third legs of singles. Names must be drawn for singles order of play however, reserves may be substituted for trebles and doubles. 4. PLAYING FORMAT DIVISION TWO:- Games 1/2, 3-a-side, 1 leg 801. Games 3/4/5 doubles, one leg 601, Games 6/11, singles, best of 3 legs 501. All games flying start. Away team to throw first in 3’s, doubles and  first and third legs of singles. Names must be drawn for singles order of play, however, reserves may be substituted for trebles and doubles. Draw to be made by 8.00pm, start by 8.15pm. 4 players must be in attendance, failure to start on time the team will forfeit the first doubles, and the second doubles by 8.30pm. If match not started by 8.45pm the opponents will be awarded an 11-0 win. Failure to fulfil two fixtures in a season will result in expulsion from the league.
5a. Any reserves used must be listed on the result sheet, together with any "180" scorers, and claims for the highest finish. These must be signed by the opposing captain. There will be a separate highest finish trophy for ladies.
5b. There will also be trophies awarded for any players who achieve 171 (3 x treble 19's). These again must be claimed on the result sheet and signed by the opposing captain.
6. As well as an overall aggregate winners trophy, a trophy will be presented to the players with most singles wins in each team.
7. No awards for 180's, 171's, highest finish or aggregate winners will be made unless the team involved complete their fixtures.
8a. One point to be awarded for each game won. The home team to send in the result sheet, win or lose, which must be received by the secretary before the Friday following the match (date). Failure to do so the side will be fined £5.00.
8b. A £5.00 fine will be imposed to any side who do not have a representative present at any league meeting - N.B. Sides may only be represented by persons who have played for them.
8c. Any fines imposed by the league must be paid immediately or the league will not permit the offending side to play any further matches while the fine is outstanding. If the fine still has not been received by the treasurer before the following third match (as per fixture lists) the side concerned will be expelled from the league forthwith.
THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTION TO RULE 8.
9. Any team failing to fulfil two fixtures in a season will be expelled from the league.
9a. In the event of any team ceasing to be a member of the league, all points will be forfeited and all other teams in that division shall receive maximum points whether or not they have played the team which has withdrawn. Should the team then wish to re-join the league in a future season a bond may be imposed to ensure that all fixtures are fulfilled.
9b. Any teams which have tied at the end of the season will "play off' at a neutral venue on a date and in a manner designated by the league secretary.
10. Players do not need to register but can only play for one team during the season. I.E. there will be no transferring of any player from one team to another. Any person found to have played for more than one team will be barred from playing in the league for the remainder of the season, also the second and subsequent teams for which that person plays - will be deducted 3 points for every game he/she played.
11. In the event of any team wishing to rearrange a match a minimum of 48 hours notice will be required. Both sides must agree to the rearrangement and the league secretary must be informed before the original match date. Failing to inform league secretary of any rearrangement prior to the match date will result in a £5.00 fine being imposed on both sides - regardless of which side wanted to re-arrange.
11b. Any re-arranged matches should be played before the next league meeting - otherwise the league secretary will nominate a date for the re-arranged match in question to be played.
11c. Re-arranged matches will not be allowed to be played on league competition evenings.
12. Should any team withdraw from the league, players (to a maximum of 3) may re-register to play for another team - but only in the same division or higher E.G. a side which has withdrawn from Division 1 whose players wish to re-register may only play for another Division 1 side or a Premier side. A £5.00 re-registration fee per player will be imposed and this must be forwarded to the league secretary before any re-registered players will be permitted to play.
13. Any protests must be in writing, signed and received by the secretary no later than the Thursday after the incident occurred.
14. It is the captains responsibility to inform his/her players of dates and venues for competitions, consequently, any captain found to not be doing this will be banned from playing in the league for 4 games.
15. Any player(s) found to be playing friendly matches or for another league on competition nights will be expelled automatically from the league forthwith and will forfeit all trophies won in the league previous to their expulsion. Similarly any player found to be playing for another league on any Friday night during the league season.
16. No trophies will be awarded to any teams with fines outstanding at season’s end.
ANY POINT NOT COVERED FULLY IN THE RULES THE LEAGUE SECRETARY WILL
HAVE THE FINAL DECISION.
